The 2008 Award recipient for Technology and Science is Jessica Heuser is from the Lac La Ronge First Nation. Jessica graduated from Carleton High School in PA last June in the top 4% of her class of 500 students and has achieved honours with great distinction the past three years. She is described as an outstanding scholar with a combination of brilliance tempered with wholehearted love for people. Jessica has been the recipient of other awards and scholarships from the Prince Albert Grand Council, National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation and the U of S. Jessica as well will be competing with Team Sask at the Indigenous Games in juvenile soccer this summer.

Currently Jessica is completing her first year of pre-med classes through the University of Saskatchewan, Woodland Campus. Her goal is to complete her University and obtain a degree in Medicine.
