Wicihitowin Foundation

Wicihitowin was established in 1995 fifty years after the end of World War II. It's purpose is to serve as a living legacy to First Nations' veterns who served Canada honourably in both World Wars and international conflicts, including peacekeeping missions.

First Nations' veterans served with distinction, defending their beliefs on behalf of the country, their communities, and their families.

Wicihitowin honours these veterans by nuturing Aboriginal youth, preparing them to rise to the challenge of responsibility and leadership, preparing them to excel, physically and spirtually as tomorrow's leaders - "strong, brave and true".

Our name, "Wicihitowin" reflects our mission: the Cree word for "helping each other".
