Community commitment
Festivals and fairs
Saskatchewan people love to celebrate their culture. With this in mind, SaskTel is pleased to play a major role in many annual festivals and fairs that showcase our province’s history and way of life.
Canadian Western Agribition
 |
One of North America’s largest and well-known agricultural marketplaces is the annual Canadian Western Agribition. This week-long event includes livestock sales and competitions, a rodeo and a trade show featuring 450 exhibits. Due to the vast array of events, Agribition is able to attract approximately 140,000 patrons on a yearly basis from across Canada and the United States. For years SaskTel has been aiding Agribition by providing the event and its volunteers with communication supplies and overall support. Further to that point, in 2004, SaskTel’s sponsorship of the International Business Centre helped to ensure that the Agribition International Program continues to strengthen and enhance the global trading opportunities for the Saskatchewan rural community. |
Children’s Festivals
 |
Every year SaskTel sponsors a handful of Children’s Festivals across the province of Saskatchewan. From La Ronge to Tisdale to Regina, these festivals provide kids with a chance to view award-winning performers as well as take part in various hands-on activities. Through these educational events, Saskatchewan children receive great exposure to the wonderful worlds of music and physical education and with so many all-age activities taking place as well, the festivals are a great opportunity for entire families to be entertained together. |
Saskatchewan Summer/Winter Games
 |
The Saskatchewan Games first took place in the summer of 1972 and have continued, alternating between Summer and Winter, every 2 years. The primary purpose of the games is to stage a large multi-sport event providing an opportunity for high caliber, provincial competition for participants across the province. In addition, the games encourage the growth and development of amateur sport, while building camaraderie amongst the athletes. SaskTel has been a proud supporter of these Games for several years now, and is pleased to be able to enhance the overall Games experience for athletes and spectators alike. |
