SaskTel TelCare

Of all the ways that SaskTel contributes to the communities we serve, the TelCare program is perhaps the simplest. Employees donate funds through an automatic payroll deduction system, SaskTel adds 50% of the total, and the sum is divided among local groups dedicated to making life better in communities across the province.
This simplicity has been one of the hallmarks of the TelCare program since its inception in 1950, when SaskTel employees created a fund to give a helping hand to people in their communities. The focus has always been assisting worthy non-profits groups, both through a donation of much-needed funds and a heartfelt "thank you" from SaskTel employees, in appreciation of the hard, selfless work undertaken by these organizations.
Thanks to the SaskTel employees who voluntarily contribute a small amount to the fund each month, TelCare's total gift to the community was over $390,000 last year.
