SaskTel Employess in Prince Albert Celebrate 60th Anniversary
of TelCare by Supporting Non-Profits

Prince Albert & District TelCare donates $17,730 to 20 organizations

SaskTel employees in Prince Albert and district continue to support non-profit organizations in the 60th year of the SaskTel TelCare program. This year Prince Albert & District TelCare will donate $17,730 to 20 organizations. The organizations are:

  • Alzheimer’s Society
  • Breakfast for Learning – Maude Burke School
  • Breakfast for Learning – Reynolds School
  • Canadian Mental Health Association
  • Dystonia Medical Research Foundation of Canada
  • Heart & Stroke Foundation
  • Jubilation Program – Chakam School of the Bible
  • Kidney Foundation
  • La Ronge Food Bank
  • Lupus Erythematosus Society
  • Mont St. Joseph Foundation
  • Nipawin Donor’s Choice
  • Royal Canadian Legion
  • Salvation Army (Christmas Cheer)
  • Salvation Army (Red Shield)
  • Scleroderma Foundation
  • Seniors Transportation
  • Shellbrook Kinsmen
  • Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
  • Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus

SaskTel TelCare is a volunteer organization of SaskTel employees who contribute money through payroll deduction. SaskTel donates 50 cents for every dollar employees contribute through TelCare. Across the province the TelCare program will contribute $329,000 to non-profit organizations in 2010.

“Congratulations to SaskTel and its employees for 60 years of SaskTel TelCare,” said Bill Boyd, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. “TelCare is a great program that helps to improve quality of life in our communities by assisting vital non-profit organizations across the province each and every year.”

“Since 1950 SaskTel and its employees have supported their communities through payroll deduction,” said Ron Styles, SaskTel President and CEO. “Employees have led this effort from the very beginning and we’ll continue to work together to promote a culture of giving throughout Saskatchewan for many years to come.”
