SaskTel Employees in Regina Celebrate 60th Anniversary of TelCare

Regina & District TelCare donates $161,000 to 20 organizations

SaskTel employees in Regina continue to support non-profit organizations in the 60th year of the SaskTel TelCare program. This year Regina & District TelCare will donate $161,000 to 20 organizations. The organizations are:

  • Alzheimer’s Society
  • American Sign Language
  • Arthritis Society
  • Autism Society
  • Breakfast For Learning
  • Canadian Mental Health Association
  • Chris Knox Foundation
  • Grow Regina
  • Hospitals of Regina Foundation
  • Kidney Foundation
  • Lymphoma of Canada
  • Mothers Against Drunk Driving
  • Multiple Sclerosis Society
  • Regina & District Food Bank
  • Regina Humane Society
  • Regina Therapeutic Riding Association
  • Royal Canadian Legion
  • United Way
  • Wind On My Wings

SaskTel TelCare is a volunteer organization of SaskTel employees who contribute money through payroll deduction. SaskTel donates 50 cents for every dollar employees contribute through TelCare. Across the province the TelCare program will contribute $329,000 to non-profit organizations in 2010.

“Congratulations to SaskTel and its employees for 60 years of SaskTel TelCare,” said Bill Boyd, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. “TelCare is a great program that helps to improve quality of life in our communities by assisting vital non-profit organizations across the province each and every year.”

“Since 1950 SaskTel and its employees have supported their communities through payroll deduction,” said Ron Styles, SaskTel President and CEO. “Employees have led this effort from the very beginning and we’ll continue to work together to promote a culture of giving throughout Saskatchewan for many years to come.”
