SaskTel top employer for both young people and workers over 40
SaskTel named top employer for both young people and workers over 40
SaskTel today announced it was again named one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People by Mediacorp Canada Inc. In April 2015, SaskTel also received the award for being a Top Employer for Workers over 40. This is the third year that SaskTel has been recognized with the award for young employees and the sixth time it has been recognized for the benefits and programs it offers for more mature employees.
"Winning awards that recognize SaskTel as an employer of choice for both young people new to the workfource and those well established in their careers, speaks to the wide range of benefits, programs, and culture that SaskTel offers," said Ron Styles, SaskTel President and CEO. "These awards are testament to the fact that you can start and end your career - while being challenged to explore new opportunities and gain new knowledge and skills along the way - and never have to leave SaskTel."
Canada's Top Employers for Young People and Top Employers for Workers over 40 are annual competitions organized by Mediacorp Canada, the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers. These two special designations recognize employers that lead the nation in attracting and retaining younger employees and more mature workers to their organization.
SaskTel was selected to receive this distinction based on the many benefits they offer that address the needs of both young and older workers, such as competitive salaries, generous benefits and programs, telecommuting and flexible work options to achieve a work/life balance, and personal and professional development opportunities.
These latest awards complement similar distinctions SaskTel has collected over the last year, including being named one of Canada's Top 100 Employers for the 15th consecutive year and one of Saskatchewan's Top Employers for the ninth time. SaskTel has also been recognized as a Top Green Employer and a Top Diversity Employer in 2015.
