SaskTel brings Netflix access to infiNET maxTV customers

November 17, 2016

SaskTel today announced that infiNET maxTV customers can now access Netflix, the world’s leading internet television network, directly from their maxTV set-top box.  This means that infiNET maxTV customers will now be able to enjoy their favorite movies, shows, and Netflix original programming like The Crown, Stranger Things and House of Cards from any television in their home.

“SaskTel is excited to be the first television provider in the province to be able to bring this level of integration to our customers,” said Ron Styles, SaskTel President and CEO.  “The way our customers consume content is continuously evolving, and many of our customers already subscribe to Netflix.”

The addition of Netflix to infiNET maxTV will further enhance the in-home television experience and complement other similar services that SaskTel offers today such as CraveTV, CTV On Demand, and TSN On Demand.

This latest enhancement is part of SaskTel’s commitment to invest over $300 million in capital in Saskatchewan in 2016/17 and $1.4 billion through 2016-2021.  Investments like these will ensure that Saskatchewan will continue to receive some of the best communication and entertainment services in the world.

Added Styles, “By integrating Netflix into maxTV and continuing to offer unlimited data on our wireline Internet service, we are providing our customers with the convenience and freedom to watch the content they want to watch when they want to watch it.”
