Today SaskTel announced plans to expand infiNET^TM, Saskatchewan’s fastest fibre optics network, to Battleford and North Battleford. Construction will begin in the spring of 2018 with infiNET expected to be available in some neighbourhoods by early summer.

infiNET is being deployed through SaskTel’s Fibre To The Premises (FTTP) program, a $670 million investment to bring fibre optics directly to homes and businesses by upgrading SaskTel’s broadband network across Saskatchewan’s nine largest cities. Beyond the immediate benefits of faster Internet speeds, this network enhancement will have added benefits down the road. As demands for more bandwidth and faster speeds increase, infiNET provides SaskTel with a flexible platform that can quickly grow to meet its customer’s needs.
