2008 news releasesSaskTel Offers Max™ Customers Free Channel PreviewsMay 26, 2008 SaskTel today announced that it will provide free previews of its Entertainment Plus, Variety Plus and Kids theme packages from June 2 to July 31 to SaskTel Max customers who do not currently subscribe to these theme packs. The free preview of Black Entertainment TV (BET) in the Variety Plus Theme Pack is only available from June 16 to June 23. “We are very pleased to provide our Max customers with a two month free preview of some of the best entertainment available on Max,” said Robert Watson, SaskTel President and CEO. “We would like to thank our customers for their patience as we developed this new promotion and we hope they enjoy the free preview.” The following channels are included within the Entertainment Plus, Variety Plus and Kids theme packs and some channels may contain mature content.
Any customers concerned about mature content can easily keep their TV kid-friendly with Max Parental Controls. These features help control what your children can watch and prevent specific channels and programs from being viewed without a password. Max parental controls can be activated from the Max Home page or channel 2 by simply selecting “Settings” and then “Parental Control” and following the prompts. Parental controls can be set to block by channel or by rating, or both. At the end of the free preview period (July 31, 2008) customers can call 1-800-SASKTEL to sign up for the Theme Pack(s) of their choice.
