SaskTel signs managed hosting contract with Global Mainframe

SaskTel announced today that it has signed a five-year contract to provide managed hosting services to Global Mainframe Corp. Under the agreement, SaskTel will provide infrastructure management within SaskTel’s world class HP Signature Certified Data Centre for Global Mainframe and its Energy Resource Manager platform.

Energy Resource Manager is hosted, managed, upgraded and delivered to its clients via the Internet and is commonly referred to as SaaS (Software-as-a-Service). Clients do not pay for owning the software or hardware, but rather for using it. This is a low-cost way for clients to obtain the same benefits of commercially licensed, internally operated software without the associated complexity and high cost.
