Virtual private network

Wireless virtual private network (VPN) service provides secure connectivity to your corporate network from a 1X/CDPD wireless device. You can use a VPN for remote access to your corporate network.

VPN allows two or more private networks to be connected over our wireless data network without the expense of privately leased lines. With VPN, you are assured the same security and encryption features as a private network, while receiving the benefits of a large public network.

How does it work?

To access the service, you simply establish a wireless data connection and connect to your internal VPN network, while travelling anywhere in SaskTel's 1X/EV-DO coverage areas including SaskTel roaming partners. You incur no long-distance charges.

(Note: a Gateway-to-gateway VPN solution must be in place between SaskTel and your company and security parameters must be exchanged before attempting a Wireless VPN connection.)
