Tethered Data allows you to connect your laptop to the Internet using your Smartphone, BlackBerry™ device or cellular phone anywhere within the extensive 1X network and/or EV-DO network.

There are two ways to use Tethered Data:
- With your Smartphone or BlackBerry device and a subscription to a Data plan.
- With your cell phone and a subscription to a Mobile Internet Service Plan
Your Tethered Data usage comes out of the bucket of data included in your data rate plan. Tethered data is available wherever capable devices are able to roam. See Coverage and roaming for more information.
