CRTC Wireless Code

We want to make getting your wireless services from SaskTel as easy and customer-friendly as possible. We are committed to meeting and exceeding the guidelines set out by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) in their Wireless Code to make sure that you understand your rights and obligations as a wireless customer.  Go to Why SaskTel Wireless? to find out more about our commitment to customer satisfaction.

To date a number of SaskTel's current practices and offerings already comply with the new standards set out by the Wireless Code, such as:

What are we doing?

Over the past number of months SaskTel has been working diligently to ensure its’ compliance with the Wireless Code.  The wireless code applies to all new wireless contracts starting December 2, 2013, plus all contracts that have been re-signed or are on monthly service after this date.  To comply with the Wireless Code, SaskTel will:

Caps on data overage charges coming June 2014 --  To help you manage your data charges, we will provide caps on data overage charges as required by the Wireless Code.  At this time, our billing system is unable to cap data overage charges, so the CRTC has granted us an extension until June 30, 2014 to comply with this part of the Code.  We’re working hard to launch a new billing system that will allow us to limit your data overage charges.
