T9® Text Input
If this happens, press the NEXT key (typically the “0” or “*” key) to see additional word choices listed in the order of their frequency in the language. If the word you want to type is not in the T9 text input database, you can add it using “multi-tap” text entry. The next time you type that word, the T9 text input software will remember it. T9 text input is built-in to most digital cellular phones. Check your phone manual to find out if you have T9 text input, and get detailed instructions on how to activate and use it. For more information on T9 text input, visit www.t9.com or check out the Text Messaging Interactive Demo.
Quick tips: • The letters may change as they are typed, ignore what’s on the screen until you have completely finished typing the word. • If the word is still incorrect after typing it in completely, use the NEXT key to cycle through other possible word choices. • If the desired word is missing from the word choices, adding it to the dictionary will save it so that the T9 will recognize it the next time you try to type it. |
