Smartphone Plans

Smartphone plans allow you to use data services, such as E-mail, Internet and Instant Messaging on your Smartphone or BlackBerry™ device.

The plan you choose will depend on what type of device you have, and whether you would prefer unlimited access to certain data services, or a bucket of data that can be used for any data services.

Data Service Plans
Get access to a bucket of data that can be used for Internet, E-mail, Instant Messaging and tethered data.

You will also need a wireless calling plan if you want to use your Smartphone to make voice calls. Smartphone plans are only available on Smartphones and BlackBerry devices. Tethered Data

You can use your Smartphone or BlackBerry device as a wireless modem to connect your laptop to the Internet. This is called "Tethered Data". Tethered Data is included in the BlackBerry Service Plans and Smartphone Service Plans, and can be added to any Unlimited Plan for an additional charge.

Data coverage Data services such as Internet, E-mail and Instant Messaging can be used in any area with 1X or EV-DO coverage. EV-DO capable devices will operate on the faster EV-DO network where available in Canada, and when not available will switch to the 1X network. See Coverage and Roaming for more information.
