You will also need a wireless calling plan if you want to use your Smartphone to make voice calls (excluding the Talk, Text & Data Plans).
Smartphone plans are only available on Smartphones and BlackBerry devices.
Tethered Data
You can use your Smartphone or BlackBerry device as a wireless modem to connect your laptop to the Internet. This is called Tethered Data. Tethered Data is included in the BlackBerry Service Plans and Smartphone Service Plans, and can be added to any of the Internet, Email, IM & Features plans upon request.
Data coverage
Data services such as Internet, E-mail and Instant Messaging can be used in any area with digital coverage (4G, EV-DO, or 1xRTT) See Coverage and Roaming for more information.
