Future Aspirations: In the spring of 2023, I attained my Business & Information Technology Diploma through Saskatchewan Indian Institutes of Technology, and I believe that attaining this diploma has presented me with an ongoing string of opportunities that have helped me develop my professional career. Motivation is important to me because, as an Indigenous student, I need to be motivated to do better in my life, and that is to not give up and move forward. Therefore, in September 2023, I will be continuing my education to obtain my Bachelor of Administration degree through the First Nations University of Canada. Furthermore, getting my bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in Human Resources is very important to me because I have proved to myself that I can commit to something that will benefit me and my Indigenous community in the long run.

Thoughts: I must begin by expressing my gratitude to SaskTel, it is because of their financial assistance I am able to continue my educational journey that will impact my life positively in so many ways. Knowing that SaskTel is improving the technological barrier between Indigenous communities and the rest of Canada makes me all the more honored to receive this award. As well, this SaskTel scholarship will allow me to become a successful leader through a leadership business approach. My objective is to finish my bachelor’s degree and to become a member of a corporate board of directors, to help build trusting relationships with Indigenous peoples and non-Indigenous peoples to develop positive community economic development. Finally, receiving this scholarship will enable me to lead positively through social change, motivate myself and others positively in career success, and help us all build stronger organizational performance.
