The residents of 24 Indigenous and First Nations communities throughout the province can now enjoy the benefits of faster High Speed Internet. See the attached appendix for a list of the upgraded communities.

All SaskTel High Speed Internet customers in these 24 communities have been automatically upgraded to internet service that is more than 3 times faster than their previous service, with download speeds of up to 5 Mbps.

In June of this year, SaskTel announced plans to upgrade the internet services in 46 Indigenous and First Nations communities in 2017/18. The remaining communities are expected to be upgraded by the end of March 2018.

These upgrades are part of SaskTel’s commitment to invest $1.4 billion in capital in Saskatchewan through 2016-2021. These Investments will ensure that all Saskatchewan residents will continue to receive some of the best communication and entertainment services in the world.
