SaskTel continues to expand blazing-fast interNET Extended 25 service throughout rural Saskatchewan

December 17, 2018

Today SaskTel announced the expansion of interNET Extended 25 service to 18 more communities in rural Saskatchewan, see the list of communities below. Residents and businesses in these communities now have access to download speeds up to 25 Megabits per second (Mbps), the fastest SaskTel has ever offered in rural areas.

“SaskTel continues to make tremendous progress rolling out their new and faster rural internet service,” said Don Morgan, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. “In only a few short months, SaskTel has managed to expand this new service to over 60 rural communities, greatly enhancing the internet service available to thousands of Saskatchewan families and businesses.”

“Our interNET Extended 25 service offers rural customers more bandwidth than ever before, allowing them to more fully participate in the modern economy and take advantage of all the educational and social opportunities that exist online today,” said Doug Burnett, Acting SaskTel President and CEO.

SaskTel interNET Extended 25 service comes with unlimited usage, in-home Wi-Fi, and 24/7 helpdesk support – all for one low monthly price.

These internet upgrades are part of SaskTel’s commitment to invest $301 million of capital in Saskatchewan in 2018/19 and over $1.4 billion through 2018-2023. These investments will ensure that all Saskatchewan residents will continue to receive some of the best communication and entertainment services in the world.
