SaskTel brings faster internet speeds to Kinistin Saulteaux Nation

February 14, 2019

Residents in the Indigenous community of Kinistin Saulteaux Nation can now enjoy faster internet speeds with SaskTel’s interNET Extended 10 package.

“Having access to a reliable internet connection is increasingly essential in our emerging digital economy,” said Don Morgan, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. “This upgrade further illustrates SaskTel’s commitment to provide modern communication services to all residents of our province.”

With download speeds of up to 10 Megabits per second (Mbps), interNET Extended 10 delivers internet service that is twice as fast as the community’s current internet option.

“The internet service upgrade in this community will provide residents with improved network speeds, allowing them the connectivity they need to download all the content they want,” said Doug Burnett, SaskTel President and CEO.

All SaskTel internet packages include unlimited usage, in-home Wi-Fi and 24/7 helpdesk support – all for one low monthly price.

This internet upgrade is part of SaskTel’s commitment to invest $301 million of capital in Saskatchewan in 2018/19 and over $1.4 billion through 2018-2023. These investments will ensure that all Saskatchewan residents will continue to receive some of the best communication and entertainment services in the world.
