SaskTel to offer free Wi-Fi at the Martensville Athletic Pavilion and other city-owned facilities

February 26, 2019

Today SaskTel announced that it has reached an agreement with the City of Martensville to bring selectWI-FI service to the Martensville Athletic Pavilion as well as the North Ridge Community Centre, and the Sports Centre. SaskTel expects to have selectWI-FI service available in all three facilities by the end of March.

“The City of Martensville is looking forward to introducing selectWI-FI to our residents in three of our facilities this year,” said Leah Bloomquist, Director of Corporate Services at the City of Martensville. “Working with SaskTel to bring this free service to their wireless customers in Martensville has been a priority so that our residents and visitors can stay connected while enjoying our facilities. We thank SaskTel for the opportunity to share this great service here.”

With selectWI-FI, SaskTel customers enjoy free and unlimited Internet access in over 2,400 locations and 30 communities throughout the province, making it the largest Wi-Fi network in Saskatchewan. In Martensville, selectWI-FI is already available in nearly 20 local businesses throughout the city.

“We’re pleased to work with the City of Martensville to enhance the connectivity of their community,” said Doug Burnett, SaskTel President and CEO. “With selectWI-FI, SaskTel customers will be able to update their social feeds, message their friends and family, stream music and videos, and so much more, all while enjoying everything these fantastic venues have to offer.”

SaskTel’s selectWI-FI network is available in some of the most iconic venues Saskatchewan has to offer, including SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, and Mosaic Stadium in Regina.

Connecting to the selectWI-FI network is simple. SaskTel wireless customers using a 4G or 4G LTE wireless device will automatically connect to the network when their device has Wi-Fi enabled. Alternatively, for customers using a laptop or tablet that is not connected to the SaskTel cellular network, they can access Wi-Fi through their mySaskTel account.
