SaskTel and Unifor have reached a tentative contract agreement. Details of the five-year tentative agreement will not be released until ratification has been completed by SaskTel’s unionized employees. Employees will begin voting on the tentative deal over the next couple of weeks but will return to work on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.

The current collective agreement expired March 16, 2019. The new agreement will be for a five-year term ending March 16, 2024 and details will be released upon ratification.

SaskTel would like to thank its customers for their patience during this labour disruption. We also ask customers for their understanding as it may take the corporation a few days to have the necessary processes, systems and accesses reinstated to resume normal business operations. We welcome the return of our full labour force, so we can once again focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience.

SaskTel and Unifor Bargaining Committees have worked very hard to get to this point, and SaskTel would like to commend the professionalism and diligent efforts of all those involved.
