This expansion was made possible by SaskTel’s Community Participation Program in partnership with the community of McPhee Lake. The Community Participation Program provides communities that do not meet SaskTel’s criteria for service expansion with the opportunity to access new or enhanced wireless and broadband services. Through the program, communities provide a portion of the funds required to cover the capital costs to bring SaskTel services to their residents. This program helps SaskTel to sustainably expand services to areas of the province where it may not otherwise be economically feasible to do so.
