About Azure
Managed Azure allows you to offload the day-to-day operation and administration of your Azure environment or portions of it. SaskTel leverages a combination of Azure-native and SaskTel-hosted tools for better results. You can choose from two plans the one that best fits your needs.
Managed Azure Standard – SaskTel manages your Azure VMs; and monitors and alerts on the disks attached to the managed Azure VMs and the virtual network gateways powering your Azure VMs.
Managed Azure Premium – SaskTel monitors and manages up to 24 Azure services.
How it works
SaskTel manages the Service Operations Lifecycle (SOL) of your Azure solution. We perform specific activities within each process in the SOL; all the processes within the SOL are carried out for some Azure services, while for some others, only certain are applicable.
Backup Management: Provides protection against data loss by leveraging Azure-native tools.
Monitoring & Event Management: 24x7x365 proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident creation of in-scope Azure services.
Incident Management: 24x7x365 incident resolution with the goal of restoring normal service operations as quickly as possible.
Change Management: Manages major changes to the service.
Service Request Management: Managing user requests from creation to fulfillment.
Antimalware Management: Provides protection against malware and viruses by leveraging Azure-native tools.
Configuration Management: Leverages a configuration management database to track configuration item details.
Reporting: Monthly reports that detail SaskTel activities carried for each process in the SOL.
Patch Management: Tests, distributes, and applies vendor-issued updates to software.
Service Administration: Additional activities performed on a day-to-day basis that don’t fall in other SOL process.
