We’ll monitor common devices in your network such as routers, switches, servers, bridges, and hubs, and make sure they’re functioning properly. We’ll also identify areas of concern and notify you of outages. Best of all, network performance reports are available to you 24/7 through an online web portal. This helps minimize downtime and plan your network growth.

Features

Basic reports
Our basic reporting package includes three reports:

  • CPU usage: Displays your CPU usage as a percentage at a specific time for your server. Find out if a device process or thread is causing an issue, or if rule sets have outgrown the capacity of your device.

  • Traffic in/out: Displays the traffic flow in and out of your server over the customer interface connection. Use this graph to find out the average and peak usage of your network connection.

  • Device status/response time: Displays whether ORCHID was able to poll your device and the time (including average time) it took to respond to the poll. The chart provides a proxy for device availability.

Additional reports
With Direct Internet and LANspan IP, you can get individual reports with more detailed statistics like:

  • Discards/errors: Displays the 5-minute average of errors on your interface
  • Packet in/out: Similar to traffic in/out, this graph displays the 5-minute average of packets in and out of your interface. This data is useful for troubleshooting device resource issues.
  • Fast Ethernet: Reports the amount of traffic on your specific device or service
  • Round-trip time: Displays the time it takes for a packet to make a return trip. This report can determine application-specific network delays.

Custom reports

Online change requests
You’re in charge of how we monitor your network. You can always change your request with an easy-to-use change management application. Use it to keep in touch with our technical support team and track the status of your request.

24/7 network device monitoring
Rest assured knowing we’re constantly monitoring your network, 24/7. Want more peace of mind? No problem. You can also ask for pings every 5 minutes to be added to your performance reporting package.

Trouble management and technical support
If we detect a flaw in your system, our technical support team will contact you immediately. Plus you can use our communication application to submit any issues and feedback, and request moves, additions, changes, or deletions.

Secure web interface
Your network reports will not be compromised, thanks to our secure web interface. Your statistics are password-protected as well, giving you an additional layer of security.
