Canada West feeds the pros

Over the decades, hundreds of Canada West players have gone on to pro football careers. 11 former Huskies/Rams are currently on active CFL rosters. Two superstar alumni, Jason Clermont (Regina Rams) and Dan Farthing (Saskatchewan Huskies), went on to CFL glory.

Clermont played 10 CFL seasons (501 catches for 6,766 yards), was a two-time winner of the Most Outstanding Canadian Award, and won a Grey Cup with the BC Lions in 2006. Farthing played 11 CFL seasons, all with the Riders, snagged 384 receptions for 5,098 yards, and is enshrined in in the Roughriders Plaza of Honour.

Our support for Saskatchewan

maxTV has always been a proud supporter of Saskatchewan athletes, broadcasting the provincial Scotties, Tankard, and Saskatchewan Rush lacrosse games. When the opportunity arose to feature Rams and Huskies games live this season, we knew we had to take it.

Although SaskTel has been a proud sponsor of the Rams and Huskies for decades, this is the first year we’ve partnered with Canada West to broadcast all Huskies and Rams football games. Now local football fans get to cheer on their favourite players in real-time, right through the playoffs and the Hardy Cup

Join us to cheer on the next wave of Canadian football stars, every weekend this fall on maxTV.
