Wireless Device Protection Plan

If something goes wrong, you're protected. Our Wireless Device Protection Plan, in partnership with Brightstar Mobile Device Protection, provides additional coverage for your wireless device. There are 2 options to meet your needs:

Complete Coverage – your total protection option, designed to give you peace of mind if your device is lost, stolen, damaged or malfunctions.

Basic Coverage – your basic protection option which provides 24 months of coverage if your device is damaged or malfunctions.

It's fast and easy to get a replacement, so you don’t have to worry about downtime. Just visit sasktel.brightstarprotect.com to submit a claim and, once approved, you'll receive your replacement device.


Complete Coverage pricing

For just $6 to $10 extra on your monthly wireless bill, you're covered for up to 2 claims in any rolling 12 months period against loss, theft, damage, and malfunction.

Basic Coverage pricing

Pay a one-time fee of $79.99 - $149.99 on your wireless bill and receive 24 months of coverage for damage and malfunction. This plan allows for 2 replacements within a 24-month period.

File a claim/service request

In the unfortunate event that something happens to your device, you can file a claim or service request by calling Brightstar at 1-877-412-5186 or by visiting the Brightstar website.

Once your claim or service request has been approved, simply pay the deductible or processing fee by credit card ranging from $75 to $200, and you'll receive your replacement device.

Claims must be reported within 60 days from date of incident and you have 60 days to provide all information requested.

If your wireless device is lost or stolen, call 1-800-SASKTEL to suspend your service and protect yourself against unauthorized use of your account. We suggest filing a police report if your device was stolen.

Order information

Enrolling in the Wireless Device Protection Plan is simple. Just sign up in-store or online when you purchase your new phone.

If you bought a phone in the last 12 months and want to sign up for our Wireless Device Protection Plan, just head down with your original receipt to any SaskTel Store or Authorized Dealer.
