SaskTel is proud to work closely with small businesses from a variety of industries and are excited to highlight the 2023 winners of the Small Business Spotlight Promotion!

Grand Prize Winner: Kinder Surprises Antiques

Erin Kinder is an award-winning entrepreneur who founded Kinder Surprises Antiques in 2014. While only a short drive from Davidson, Kinder Surprises Antiques is the LARGEST rural antique shop in Saskatchewan! Explore the historic antique village, including a 100+ year old hip roof barn, one room school, and several more repurposed buildings packed to the rafters with gorgeous antiques! And if you can’t make it in person, no sweat. Visit Kinder Surprises Antiques on Facebook and join them for their weekly Live Unboxings.

Runner-Up Prize Winner: His Bead Store

If there’s one thing you could say about Dakota McLeod, it’s that he doesn’t waste time. He took up beading at 14 years old, was making beading kits by 16 and, two years later, opened His Bead Store online to solid success.

This led to the launch of a brick-and-mortar store in Saskatoon, and today he is busy with a new outlet in Regina — and plenty of plans for the future, too. Still, it came as a surprise to the young Métis entrepreneur, now 21, when he was recognized in SaskTel’s Small Business Spotlight promotion.
