Directwest Breaks into the Digital Out of Home Advertising Market by Acquiring 20 Digital Boards

April 12, 2018

Today Directwest announced that it is making an aggressive push into the digital out of home advertising space by acquiring 20 digital boards from Canadian Digital Signs Inc.  This acquisition makes Directwest the third largest outdoor digital advertiser in the province and dramatically strengthens their ability to reach Saskatchewan audiences.

“For over 100 years, Directwest has a proven track record of connecting businesses with their customers throughout Saskatchewan,” said Keith Jeannot, President and CEO of Directwest. “This new digital board media is a strong addition to our product set and will provide great opportunities for our customers to expand their reach in the Saskatchewan market place.”

These digital boards are strategically located in highly desirable areas throughout Saskatoon, Regina, Moose Jaw, Estevan, and Weyburn. In Saskatoon the digital boards provide coverage along Circle Drive, 8th Avenue and near TCU Place.  In Regina and Moose Jaw, the main commuter routes of Albert Street, Broad Street, Saskatchewan Drive, Victoria Avenue and Thatcher Drive are also covered.

“For several years we have made it a key focus of ours to expand our digital offerings” said Andrew Clarke, Vice President of Brand & Technology at Directwest “The acquisition of these digital boards is an exciting step for us as we continue to evolve our business to provide our clients with modern and engaging advertising solutions.”

As a long-standing local company, Directwest has a keen understanding of the Saskatchewan marketplace and the people and businesses that call it home.  With a unique multi-platform portfolio that includes print, online, mobile, and other web and social mediums, Directwest has everything local businesses and consumers need to connect with each other.

Added Jeannot, “We expect that our investment in these digital boards will pay great dividends to Directwest and provide solid benefits to our clients now and for years to come.”
