SaskTel improves wireless LTE service in Lloydminster

April 8, 2019

Today SaskTel announced it has enhanced Lloydminster’s wireless LTE service with the launch of a new cell tower in the community as well as upgrades to an existing tower just east of the city.

“By enhancing wireless services in Lloydminster, SaskTel is demonstrating their continued commitment to the residents of our province,” said Don Morgan, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. “SaskTel understands people want fast and reliable technology, allowing them to stay connected to their world.”

These enhancements will improve wireless LTE coverage and capacity in Lloydminster, allowing customers to enjoy more reliable voice and messaging as well as popular smartphone features like streaming HD movies, gaming or sharing pictures and videos.

“We are committed to delivering high-quality connectivity to all our customers. These upgrades in Lloydminster will enhance wireless services, benefiting the community now and into the future,” said Doug Burnett, SaskTel President and CEO.

These wireless upgrades are part of SaskTel’s commitment to invest $301 million of capital in Saskatchewan in 2018/19 and over $1.4 billion through 2018-2023. These investments will ensure that all Saskatchewan residents will continue to receive some of the best communication and entertainment services in the world.
