We all know companies with great mission statements and corporate values that drive the business. But when it all comes down to it, how often do you really see the WHOLE company- from the bottom all the way to the top, from the part time student intern to the President, walking that talk and living those values to achieve that mission?

It is one thing to have an active employee volunteer base, it is completely another for the spirit and dedication to serve to be embraced so fully, it becomes part of the corporate culture.

We've said it before and we will say it again, SaskTel employees are amazingly generous and give both their time and money year after year to community causes and organizations. Even after many of our employees retire, they have become so invested in their volunteer efforts, they remain members of the SaskTel Pioneers- our special employee volunteer group composed of current and former employees.

A constant source of pride, we celebrate and support their efforts to give back because their work outside these walls is a reflection of who they are as people, and not just employees. People that care and want to contribute their hard earned free time and money to help the community are the very type of people we want working for us- and with- our customers.

Most importantly though, we want these type of people throughout the entire company, but especially at the very top, because it is the senior leadership team driving our business and setting the tone for everyone else. If they are not passionate about giving back and aren't willing to set the example by not just saying it, but living it, what can they expect of everyone else?

With these types of employees behind us, we are confident we are going to keep doing amazing things- for our customers and our communities- because we remain dedicated to serving both- Top to bottom, bottom to top!
