April 4, 2019

SaskTel today announced the launch of its interNET 50 and interNET Extended 50 high speed internet services in the Town of Lumsden and the City of Melfort. Offering download speeds of up to 50 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 10 Mbps, the new service tiers provide the fastest Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) services available in Saskatchewan!

“We’re excited to see the result of SaskTel’s continuous investment in new technologies with the launch of 50 Mbps DSL services,” said the honourable Don Morgan, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. “With twice the speed of previously available plans, these services will make an incredible difference for many rural communities as we continue to see it introduced across the province.”

Currently serving over 450 communities with DSL, innovations like SaskTel’s new 50 Mbps DSL Services allow the company to offer the increasingly quick speeds that its customers demand, while continuing the transition of its consumer networks from DSL to fibre.

“Technology is constantly evolving, and we are always looking for ways to get the most from the latest advancements and provide better services for our customers,” said Doug Burnett, SaskTel President and CEO. “Innovations like our 50 Mbps service allow us to get customers more from our expansive DSL network infrastructure as we work to bring infiNET fibre optic connections to their homes.”

interNET 50 and interNET extended 50 join SaskTel’s range of DSL high speed services providing customers across Saskatchewan with download speeds from up to 5 – 50 Mbps and are an exciting addition to SaskTel’s suite of internet services: DSL-based interNET and interNET Extended; wireless mobile and fusion Internet; and its fibre optic infiNET.
