SaskTel goes back to school(s)

The SaskTel trade booth at the University of Regina was a busy place!
Last month Saskatchewan's post-secondary institutions were buzzing with activity, and SaskTel was back at school to welcome students for another year and introduce a new set of customers to all SaskTel has to offer.
This year, SaskTel was prominent at both universities and three Saskatchewan Polytechnic campuses (Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert). Along with sponsoring Welcome Week activities at both the University of Regina and the University of Saskatchewan, SaskTel also set up booths at these post-secondary schools where the SaskTel Store team encouraged students to sign-up for new student deals.
"We provide students with the deep discounts for the entire school year, including the best plans, prices and prizes," said Carla. "This is an important time in the lives of these people, many of whom are making important purchasing decisions for the first time."
At the U of R and U of S, students had an opportunity to check out SaskTel's experiential trailer and get their hands on promotional items handed out by the SaskTel Street team. This year, SaskTel introduced a new experiential event at both universities called the 'Chopstick Challenge' to add some fun to the proceedings.
"This was an exciting event!" said Carla. "It was a contest to see who can move the most M&Ms from one candy bowl to the next within 45 seconds using chopsticks. "
The student demographic is an important one for SaskTel. The company's presence at events such as these is a reminder to students about the great value they receive from SaskTel.
"It's our hope that we can keep most of them as customers as they get older. It's a very competitive market and we have the best student deals around. We want to attract and attain them now, and have them remain with SaskTel for a very long time."
