Gregory Hoffort

Raised in rural Saskatchewan, Greg has recently retired after a 33-year career in public administration. After an entry level position with the City of Regina, Greg moved home to the Estevan area. He served as the Administrator of the Rural Municipality of Estevan for 16 years, and he recently retired as the Executive Director of St. Joseph's Hospital of Estevan and the Radville Marian Health Centre. A highlight of his career was his team's success in establishing a successful addiction recovery centre in Estevan in 2020, which has grown to a 64-bed program.

Greg has been actively involved in community leadership serving two terms as the Mayor of Benson and later two terms as a City Councillor in Estevan. He has also served as the Chair of several Estevan area organizations including the Woodlawn Regional Park Authority, Creighton Lodge Senior Housing Project, the Estevan Municipal Airport and recently the 2022 Centennial Cup Jr A Hockey Championship. He has served as a board member of the New Estevan Regional Nursing Home Committee, Estevan Bruins Jr. Hockey Club, Estevan Bears AAA Hockey Club as well as the Estevan Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Committee.

In his spare time Greg enjoys carpentry, boating and snowmobiling at Kenosee Lake where he now resides.
