SaskTel supporting those affected by wildfires in Northern Saskatchewan

Today, SaskTel announced several measures to help support those that have been evacuated due to the wildfires currently burning in Northern Saskatchewan.

"Our government is waiving SaskTel overage fees for customers affected by the wildfires in our province to ensure Saskatchewan families can remain connected with their support networks and loved ones," said Jeremy Harrison, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. “We are also ensuring that SaskTel customers forced to leave their homes due to the wildfires will not be charged for television, internet and home phone services.”

Effective May 31st and until June 16, 2025, SaskTel will automatically waive all data overage charges for SaskTel customers living in Birch Portage First Nation, Brabant Lake, Canoe Lake, Creighton, Denare Beach, Deschambault Lake, East Trout Lake, Jan Lake, Little Bear Lake, Lower Fishing Lake, Morin Lake #217, Pelican Narrows, Piprell Lake, Sandy Bay, Southend, Sturgeon Weir, Weyakwin, and Whelan Bay. SaskTel will also credit customers for their SaskTel Internet, maxTV Stream, and Home Phone services for the duration of their evacuation.
