Channel lineup changes on October 22

 

We wanted to let you know about some channel and theme pack changes coming to maxTV and maxTV Stream on October 22, 2025.

Channels being discontinued across Canada

The following channels will no longer be available on maxTV or maxTV Stream as the content provider is discontinuing them across Canada:

  • Family Channel (in the maxTV Family theme pack or maxTV Stream Family Time Plus theme pack)
  • Family Jr. (in the maxTV Family theme pack or maxTV Stream Family Time Plus theme pack)
  • WildBrainTV (in the maxTV Family 2 theme pack or maxTV Stream Kids theme pack)

maxTV theme pack changes

As a result of these channels being discontinued, we’re making the following changes to maxTV theme packs:

  • Magnolia Network will move from the Watch & Learn theme pack to Lifestyle Plus.
  • Stingray Juicebox will move from the Kids theme pack to Lifestyle Plus.

When moved to their new theme packs, Magnolia and Stingray Juicebox will also now be included for all subscribers of the Next Level package and higher.

The following channels are also moving due to the channel discontinuations:

  • USA Network will move from the Family Time Plus theme pack to Entertain Me.
  • T+E will move from the Be You theme pack to Action & Adventure Plus.
  • Love Nature will move from the Kids theme pack to Watch & Learn.
  • One will move from the Be You theme pack to Take Me Back.

The Be You, Family Time Plus, and Kids theme packs are being removed because all their channels are being discontinued or moving to another theme pack.

maxTV Stream theme pack changes

As a result of these channels being discontinued, we’re making the following changes to maxTV Stream theme packs:

  • GSN: Game Show Network is moving from Life 3 to Family theme pack. When moved to the Family theme pack, GSN will be included for all subscribers of the Must Haves package and higher.
  • Silver Screen Classics is moving from Family 2 to Life 3 theme pack, replacing GSN.
  • The Family 2 theme pack is being removed because all its channels are being discontinued or moved to another theme pack.

These changes will take effect on October 22, 2025. If you subscribe to any of the discontinued channels or theme packs as standalone options, the charges will be removed from your account automatically.

If you currently subscribe to channels that are being moved and already have the new theme pack, the charge will also be removed from your account.
