SaskTel's Commitment to Community, People, and the Environment
SaskTel is committed to fostering a thriving Saskatchewan by supporting initiatives that have a positive impact on our province and enhance the well-being of its communities, workplace, and the environment.
This includes sponsoring hundreds of local non-profits and charitable organizations, sourcing local suppliers where possible, and community outreach and support programs such as the SaskTel Pioneers and Phones for a Fresh Start.
These programs, as well as SaskTel’s sustainability framework, are outlined in the 2023/2024 Sustainability Report. The economic impacts are also included in the report.
“At SaskTel, our sustainability framework includes our social impact on our communities, customers and our people, being accountable and responsible to our customers, and environmental sustainability,” says Charlene Gavel, SaskTel President and CEO. “These pillars guide our daily operations, and I’m proud of the impact that our sustainability practices have had throughout the province and in our workplace.”
In the workplace, SaskTel is focused on initiatives that support inclusion, wellness, staying connected, and growth. Ethical standards that involve the secure and safe handling of customer information, in addition to safety practices, are also upheld.
Overall, our approach to sustainability is rooted in supporting social causes, innovative business practices, and environmental protection.
