Future Aspirations: I am signed up for two years of courses at Sask Poly in the city where I grew up. After completing my diploma it is my hope to stay local and find a job at Sasktel so I can save money for a few years. Eventually, it is my dream to finish off a full degree in BC, allowing me to pursue video game design. Electronics connect people in ways we have never seen before, and I think having the ability to bring people together through systems of communication and development of games allows a person to make the world a better place. If i am able to get my job of choice after schooling is said and done, I have my sights set on Nintendo, where I can give aq new generation games similar to those that had such a great impact on my childhood. Besides that, I plan to pursue my hobbies of baking and educating, as both bring me so much joy just like electronics and software.

Thoughts: This money means so much to me. When I first got the call I was in the middle of class and I was honestly in shock for the rest of the period. This scholarship is going to take a huge financial burden off my shoulders, allowing me to achieve my goals without the stress of not being able to afford it. I plan to put this incredible oppurtunity to good use, and am particulary grateful to get this chance as a queer woman in STEM. Huge thanks to Sasktel for supporting me and others with this scholarship, and I hope to be working as part of this wonderful company soon!
