SaskTel & Wicihitowin

The Wicihitowin Foundation Indigenous Student Scholarship Program, in partnership with SaskTel, is dedicated to supporting Indigenous students in their pursuit of post-secondary education. This annual initiative reflects our commitment to fostering leadership, academic excellence, and community engagement among Indigenous students across Saskatchewan.

The scholarship provides financial assistance to students who demonstrate strong academic potential, active involvement in their communities, and a clear alignment between their chosen field of study and SaskTel's strategic priorities. Through this scholarship, we aim to empower future leaders and contribute to the development of a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Eligibility

  • Be an Indigenous student currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities, active community involvement, and strong academic potential.
  • Pursue a field of study that aligns with SaskTel's strategic focus areas in creating an Indigenous talent pool including, but not limited to, the following:
    • Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications, etc.)
    • Computer Science
    • Accounting and Business Administration/Commerce
    • Information Communications Technology (ICT)

Required Documentation

In addition to the online application, copies of the following documentation must be emailed to sasktel.scholarships@sasktel.com for the application to be considered complete.

  • Current resume
  • Academic transcripts (secondary and post-secondary)
  • Proof of Indigenous ancestry (status card or letter from Métis Nation–Saskatchewan)
  • Confirmation of acceptance or enrollment at a post-secondary institution
  • Two letters of reference
