Plus Pricing Details
- Available on any SaskTel wireless 2-year voice & data plan (or 2-year data plan for tablets).
- Regular 2-year device pricing is available if you don't choose Plus Pricing.
- If you upgrade your device early and renew your contract, any existing Plus Pricing amount will continue to be charged monthly until it expires, or your can pay out the remaining amount.
- If you terminate your service early, you'll be required to pay any Plus Pricing amount owing (the number of months left on your contract), in addition to the Early Cancellation Fee.

The details
At the time of purchase, you get a significant discount on the price of the phone when you sign a 2-year voice & data contract and agree to the SmartReturn terms. You can then upgrade to the latest phone before your contract is done, and we'll waive your early upgrade balance. You can choose to purchase the new phone on SmartReturn again, or choose one of our other pricing terms.
In exchange, you must return your phone to a SaskTel Store or Authorized Dealer during the SmartReturn return period (between 21 to 24 months after purchase) in good working condition based on specific evaluation criteria.
Device return
If you decide to keep the phone, or it's not in good working condition, you'll be charged a payback amount (equal to the discount you received when you purchased your phone). This will be automatically charged to your wireless account on the day after your return period has ended.
We'll send the device holder a few reminders by text message when it's time to return the phone so you don't forget and won't have any surprises on your bill.
Wireless Device Protection Plan
Get complete coverage and peace of mind knowing you're covered if something happens to your device when you sign up for Wireless Device Protection Plan. Plus, SmartReturn customers who sign up for WDPP will have the added benefit of not having to worry about the condition of your device at the time of return. Customers with WDPP active on their account can return the device in ANY CONDITION, and no deductible required.

Here are a few other things you should know about SmartReturn:
- SmartReturn pricing is only available at SaskTel Stores and Authorized Dealers; it is not available online.
- SmartReturn pricing is only available for a limited time on select phones purchased on a 2-year voice & data contract.
- You can select any 2-year voice & data rate plan.
- If you take advantage of SmartReturn pricing, you'll still have the option to apply Plus Pricing in store.
- If you want to keep your device and not upgrade you can, but you'll be charged the payback amount at the end of your return period.
- If your phone is not in good working condition, you can choose to have it repaired to meet the return conditions, as long as it's still returned within the return period. (We recommend adding a Wireless Device Protection Plan.)
- If you terminate your wireless service before your SmartReturn return period, you'll be required to pay the SmartReturn payback amount in addition to the Early Cancellation Fee.
