Today, SaskTel is proud to recognize the ongoing work, dedication, and generosity of the SaskTel Pioneers. Part of the Telephone Pioneers of America, the SaskTel Pioneers have spent the last 74 years volunteering and assisting a variety of worthy causes throughout Saskatchewan.

SaskTel begins deployment of its 5G wireless network setting the foundation for the future of connectivity in Saskatchewan

Today, SaskTel announced it has begun deployment of its 5G wireless network. Delivering ultra-fast data speeds, massive network capacity, and near instantaneous connection, SaskTel’s 5G network sets a new standard for connectivity in Saskatchewan. Initially launching in parts of Regina, SaskTel plans to expand its 5G network throughout Regina and Saskatoon in Spring 2022.

SaskTel launches new digital mobile service: Lüm Mobile

Today, SaskTel is excited to announce the launch of its digital mobile service branded as Lüm Mobile. Lüm Mobile will be a fully digital mobile model that will support a self-serve wireless offering to customers that prefer to manage their own service online with more affordable prices than a full-service model.

SJHL & SaskTel Announce Game of the Month Dates

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL), along with SaskTel, is pleased to announce the broadcast dates for SaskTel Game of the Month. The broadcasts will begin in November and continue throughout the remainder of the 2021/2022 SJHL regular season.

SaskTel completes $107 million Wireless Saskatchewan initiative with the launch of 10 new cell towers

SaskTel is today announcing the successful completion of the Government of Saskatchewan’s Wireless Saskatchewan initiative with the launch of the final 10 macro cell towers to be constructed as part of this program. Bringing improved 4G LTE wireless service to previously underserved parts of the province, these new towers are located near the communities of Aberdeen (South), Candle Lake, Carrot River (East), East Fairwell, Kuroki, Makwa, Marean Lake, Mount Pleasant, Prince Albert (East), and Shaunavon (Southeast).

SaskTel Reports Net Income of $130.8 million

SaskTel today reported 2020/21 net income of $130.8 million and operating revenues of $1,317.7 million, a year over year revenue growth of $34.0 million, reflecting continued wireless adoption and increased revenue from wireline growth services.

SaskTel today announced the expansion of the Phones for a Fresh Start program to include youth transitioning out of permanent or long-term care from the Ministry of Social Services. Cell phones and phone cards will be provided to youth to help in their transition to independence.

SaskTel Waives Data Overage Charges until June 30th

Today SaskTel announced plans to waive data overage charges from April 12 – June 30, 2021 to further assist customers with online learning or those still working remotely as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

SaskTel Selects Samsung for 5G Network Deployment

SaskTel and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. today announced that SaskTel has selected Samsung as the sole vendor to supply SaskTel with its 4G/5G Radio Access Network (RAN) and Core.
